Schwarzster

I have sort of sworn off of CDs, but there is something about browsing in a music store that is hard to sacrifice. So I find myself often making a detour to visit "CD Spins" on Newbury Street, "Newbury Comics" or some of the basement level independant shops on Mass Ave. Just recently I bought these CDs in the "Garage" on Harvard Square:Art Blakey - A Night at BirdlandJohn Coltrane - DakarWeather Report - Heavy WeatherIt may seem that I am a big Jazz fan, and in fact I am, but I like all kinds of music (as long as it is not "Top 10"). When I was in Vienna recently I bought "Wagner's Lohengrin" and I cannot get enough of that.If you love music like I do, share your thoughts, share your music with me. I think it is actually legal according to the RIAA if you share music with friends and family:"Our view has always been if the copyright holder wants to give away their product, it's fine. The key issue is that it's their choice to give it away." -Hilary B. Rosen, then-chairman and CEO of the Recording Industry Association of America, quoted in "Two Labels Warm Up to MP3's" by Bill Werde, The New York Times, May 29, 2003
